The Show You Attend MATTERS.

Need Help Convincing Your Boss to Send You to WVC?
We've Got It Covered.

3 Steps to Help You
Make Your Case ...

  1. Do Your Research

Identify the event you think would add the most value to you and your practice. Review the program offerings, research the costs involved in attending, but also look for takeaways that will allow you to learn new skills that can immediately be applied at your practice and help take your career to the next level, such as hands-on labs, workshops, and learning from industry-revered speakers.

  2. Show the Value

Attending a conference or event can be a significant investment for your employer, but can also reap dividends in knowledge and new skills that can directly benefit the practice. Be sure to note early registration price breaks, travel and airline discounts, and book at a partner hotel to increase your opportunity for savings. But value isn't always monetary. Another benefit to attending a conference is they bring people and companies together with similar interests. Explore exhibitors inside the hall, reviewing products and services that might support or enhance the practice and seek out receptions and events to connect with like-minded professionals.

  3. Start the Conversation

With this background information, start planning your proposal. Identify the key decision maker within your practice or organization. Be sure to review the attached letter template we've provided that outlines key points and includes an expense worksheet to help calculate projected costs. Present your boss with a timeline, suggested hotel accommodations, and offer to debrief the team upon returning, showing that your attendance benefits the entire practice.
